Our global function responsible for Insights, Category Management and Shopper Marketing was established in 2023 and is now expanding, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to spearhead our efforts in our home market, Sweden.
In this new role as Category Manager Sweden, you will have the overall responsibility in developing and executing category strategies tailored to the Swedish market, setting best practices that will influence our global operations.
This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic initiatives that drive our global success. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Insights and Shopper Marketing leads and partner with our International Category Manager.Reporting directly to the Global Head of Insights, Category Management & Shopper Marketing, this role is based at our headquarters in central Stockholm, Sweden. THE ROLE AS CATEGORY MANAGER SWEDEN

Serve as the Category Point of Contact for SE Retailers and the SE Sales team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to meet customer needs and drive category growth.
- Develop new partnerships in the SE market and advance our e-commerce agenda to expand our market reach and sales channels.
- Manage the development and maintenance of concept sells, including creating sales presentations for launches and annual reviews, as well as internal playbooks related to Perfect Store and Brand strategies.
- Support and collaborate with the International Category Manager and the global Category Management community across markets to leverage best practices and drive global consistency.
- Enable category growth through in-depth shopper behaviour analysis and provide actionable recommendations on assortment, placement, pricing, and promotions.
- Implement and follow up on category projects and activities aimed at growth, working closely with select retailers to ensure successful execution.
- Support the SE sales organization with strategic category planning and insights to enhance the Perfect Store rate and overall sales effectiveness.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term plans, including taking ownership of existing customer/category projects, concept selling new products, acquiring new customers, and developing an e-commerce strategy.
WHO ARE YOU?
You are a dynamic professional with a strong background in category management or development, possessing a minimum of 2-3 years of experience within an FMCG company. You have a unique blend of exceptional analytical skills, commercial acumen, and a natural talent for building long-term customer relationships.
Thriving in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving setting, you take ownership and work efficiently without losing attention to detail.
Essential skills to succeed:

Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience from a FMCG company, working in a category management role.

Analytical Proficiency: Strong skills in handling large datasets, identifying key insights, and utilizing tools like Nielsen data and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Insight Transformation: Ability to translate data into actionable insights and activities, with a talent for storytelling and tailoring information for different audiences.
- Project Management: Experience in initiating, driving, and completing complex projects simultaneously with a structured approach ensuring implementation and follow-up.
- Effective Communication: Strong communicator who can navigate various issues, make quick decisions based on insights and analysis, and maintain a high level of detail.
- Independence and Drive: Self-motivated, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and holds an academic degree, likely in economics with a focus on marketing. Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
