At Vitamin Well Spain, we combine a dynamic international culture with a committed local team. From our office in Madrid, we manage the distribution of Vitamin Well, NOCCO and Barebells across both the Spanish and Portuguese markets, working closely with commercial partners, logistics providers and colleagues across the Group.

We are now looking for an Accountant to strengthen our Finance team, supporting our Spanish operations while helping build the finance setup for our new Portuguese legal entity.

About the Role

This role has two main priorities: supporting the day-to-day finance operations in Spain and taking responsibility for the accounting of a new Portuguese legal entity (to be established).

Initially, you will support the Finance team across both the Spanish and Portuguese operations while establishing the accounting processes for the new Portuguese entity. As the entity becomes operational, you will gradually take ownership of its accounting, statutory reporting and compliance, becoming the team's key point of contact for the Portuguese entity while continuing to support the Spanish finance operations.

The role is part of the Finance & Operations team in Spain and works closely with Group Finance at our headquarters in Stockholm. Reporting to the Head of Finance & Operations Spain, you will collaborate regularly with colleagues in both Madrid and Stockholm.

The position is office-based in Madrid, five days per week. We are an office-first team and value close collaboration, direct communication and fast decision-making through working together in person.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Support day-to-day accounting activities across the Spanish and Portuguese operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounting.

• Establish the accounting processes for the new Portuguese legal entity, including VAT reporting and statutory compliance in accordance with Portuguese regulations.

• Manage banking activities, including payment runs, bank reconciliations and other treasury-related tasks.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Support the Finance team with additional accounting and finance activities as required.

Who You Are

• A university degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Around 2–4 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting.

• Hands-on experience with Portuguese accounting, VAT reporting and statutory compliance requirements.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage.

• Structured, analytical and detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy.

• Proactive, reliable and professional in handling confidential financial information.

• Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, with good written and spoken communication skills.
