Vitamin Well made its debut in the US market in 2019, initially introducing NOCCO, followed by the launch of Barebells in 2020. Since then, the company has witnessed remarkable growth, with its products now widely available across the country in various gyms, gas stations, and grocery stores. Our team is characterized by its high level of engagement, agility, and a shared passion for ensuring our brands become a staple in households across the US.
The US market has rapidly emerged as having one of the most significant volume increases across our markets. In response to this success, we have developed and launched products specifically designed to meet the unique preferences and needs of the US consumer.
About the Role
As Key Account Manager – Grocery / Mass / Convenience, your primary focus will be growing our presence, distribution, and share of shelf across key grocery, mass, and convenience accounts. You will lead sales and category initiatives, using Nielsen, SPINS, and other category data to evaluate assortments, review new POGs, and make recommendations that support new listings and expanded shelf space.
You will work closely with category buyers, directors, distributors, and internal teams to identify growth opportunities, strengthen our wholesale network, and ensure distribution and sales objectives are achieved across major accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead head office presentations and build strong relationships with key grocery, mass, and convenience accounts across Quebec, including Senior Category Managers and retail buyers.
Support new product and retailer launches, including POG/MOD assessments, assortment recommendations, and execution within required timelines.
Grow ACV, SKU assortment, and distribution while identifying opportunities for new listings, increased shelf space, white space, and off-shelf consumer engagement.
Analyze retailer dashboards, category performance, product velocities, and market data to provide actionable category insights and recommendations.
Develop sales and category presentations using relevant market data and insights to maximize market share and share of shelf.
Partner with distributors and internal teams to support new distribution opportunities and overall account execution.
Manage trade spend and account financials to ensure appropriate investment and achievement of sales and distribution objectives.
Build deep category expertise to become a trusted category resource for key retail partners.
What you will need to succeed:
3–5 years of category management experience within CPG, specifically supporting large national key accounts across the Canadian grocery and mass channels.
Strong knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape, with experience working with accounts such as Loblaws, Walmart, Sobeys, Metro, Jean Coutu, Couche-Tard, or similar major retailers.
Bilingual in French and English.
Strong experience with category assessment, data capture, POG/MOD planning and implementation, assortment management, and identifying growth opportunities within key accounts.
Proficiency with category data and reporting tools, including Nielsen, SPINS, IRI, retail POG software, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Financial understanding, including account P&L management, forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, and seasonality.
Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep senior leadership informed of key business developments.
Entrepreneurial and independent mindset, with the ability to work cross-functionally, influence without direct authority, and operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, growing business.
Strong customer-service mindset with timely communication across customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Quebec-based candidates are preferred.
