JOB DESCRIPTION
As Category Manager your primary and biggest focus areas will be to support our category management and share of shelf advice for our largest large format customer. The role contains various of tasks where you’ll be leading projects in category management, assess category data , make decisions in category assortment based on Nielsen /SPINS data. Review New POG assortment, analyze data that requires necessary recommendations and or changes.
This role will report to Barebells USA & Canada : Chief Sales Officer and GM Canada.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying, reaching out to & activating content creators
- New product launches / New Retailer launches -POG Assessment and recommendations
- New product launches advice and category performance within set
- Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the advisory role and data analysis.
- Effectively manage/ organize data and category information confidentially. Maintain and ensure all files/ decks are up to date.
- Visit Key Retailer H.O every quarter to meet with Sr. Cat. Managers and review as well as advise on changes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to relate cross-functionally in a fast-paced business environment (control without authority)
- Entrepreneurial mindset- we are building this plane as we fly it Demonstrated ability in multitasking and prioritizing workload
- Ability to manage and measure workload for self and keep senior management abreast of all issues/developments.
- Strong communication ethic in getting back to customers, suppliers, and internal company personnel.
- Support the company’s executive leadership with needed information regarding the state of the business to facilitate decision making.
- Experience with business process development and continuous improvement in the managing of day to day business
- 3-5 years of experience in category management with CPG industry is a plus. Data Analyst background an asset
- Preferably Bi-Lingual (French -English)
- Strong Knowledge in Data capture, POG assortment and MOD software.
- Strong requirement with Category Data software and reporting : Neilsen , Spins , IRI and Category Data.
- Very strong in Dashboard creation, software assessment, Consolidation of Data as well as market intelligence data support.
- Must have strong Excel / Word /PPT / POG management tools / Retail POG software support
- Independent thinker and worker with minimal supervision
