In Asia Pacific, we grow through strong distributor partnerships and high-impact consumer activations. In New Zealand, we are focused on continued growth, with Barebells already active in the market. To support this, we are investing in on-the-ground content creation, local community building, and platform-native storytelling across TikTok and Instagram — with the ambition to scale our presence and portfolio over time.

About the role

We are looking for a Social Media & Content Coordinator based in Auckland to support the growth of Barebells in New Zealand, with potential to support additional brands as the business evolves.

This is a hands-on, content-focused role centred on creating, coordinating, and publishing social media content — bringing our brands to life across TikTok, Reels, and Instagram. Working closely with our distributor partner, the role plays a key part in building a strong local presence and consistent brand expression across key channels and communities, while collaborating with our APAC hub in Singapore and the Global Social team in Stockholm.

We are open to shaping the setup based on your availability and fit. The role can be structured as part-time or full-time, with the engagement model set up through a consultancy arrangement, a local employer of record (EOR), or an equivalent compliant solution.

In short, your responsibilities will be:

• Plan and produce engaging short-form content for TikTok and Reels (filming, editing, posting)

• Engage with our community through comments, mentions, and UGC, keeping the tone authentic and on-brand

• Coordinate with local creators, athletes, and ambassadors to capture authentic content

• Adapt trending formats into brand-relevant videos and stories

• Support local activations and events, capturing live content and behind-the-scenes moments

• Maintain a content calendar and align with both distributor activities and global brand guidelines

• Manage digital assets, post scheduling, and basic performance tracking (reach, engagement, etc.)

Who you are

You are a creative, energetic, and digitally fluent communicator who loves bringing brands to life through social media. You understand what resonates locally, know your way around TikTok, Reels, and Instagram, and enjoy creating content at the intersection of sport, lifestyle, and culture.

You are organised, proactive, and comfortable owning the full content flow — from planning a shoot to capturing and publishing content in real time.

Essential skills to succeed

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in social media or content creation

• You already create content for TikTok and Instagram and understand why certain videos perform

• Comfortable filming, editing, and publishing short-form video using CapCut or similar tools

• Confident collaborating with creators, athletes, and community partners

• Genuine interest in fitness, sport, and active lifestyles

• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment

• Based in Auckland with the right to work in New Zealand
