Vitamin Well Group in the US
Vitamin Well made its debut in the US market in 2019, initially introducing NOCCO, followed by the launch of Barebells in 2020. Since then, the company has witnessed remarkable growth, with its products now widely available across the country in various gyms, gas stations, and grocery stores. Our team is characterized by its high level of engagement, agility, and a shared passion for ensuring our brands become a staple in households across the US.
The US market has rapidly emerged as having one of the most significant volume increases across our markets. In response to this success, we have developed and launched products specifically designed to meet the unique preferences and needs of the US consumer.
Enter Canada
Following up on the success in the US and significant consumer demand, Vitamin Well Group launched Barebells in Canada April 2024. Within a short time the brand success continued to follow the same success and growth in a very short time. We continue to grow and build awareness across all channels and show exciting new distribution in 2026.
About the Role
As the National Account Manager, Grocery & Mass your primary and biggest focus areas will be to support our category management and share of shelf advice for our National Accounts in grocery and mass in Canada. The role contains various of tasks where you’ll be leading Sales Initiatives across all grocery and mass, large format grocery, mass and assess category data, make decisions in category assortment based on Nielsen / SPINS data. Review New POG assortment, analyze data that requires necessary recommendations and or changes. Help to build opportunities in shelf space distribution, new listings and ensure all presentations are seeking new listings across all majors. Support brokers to ensure they are on task to attain listings as well as meeting sales objectives. Build wholesale network and grow distribution. Work with all grocery, mass Category buyers/directors and distributors.
This role is eligible to be fully remote in Canada with expected travel to key retailers, and occasional travel to our Los Angeles HQ.
This is what you can expect to be doing:
Head office presentation to all key grocery and mass accounts across Canada
New product launches / New Retailer launches -POG / MOD Assessment and recommendations within the time required.
Build ACV across all grocery, mass and increase sku assortment
Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination to support brokers and accounts with presentations and new distribution
Effectively manage/ organize data and category information
Create Sales presentations and sales support for all accounts
Visit Key Retailer H.O to meet with Sr. Cat. Managers and review as well as advise on changes/ opportunities
Build presentations with proper market data and category insights to capture maximum market share and share of shelf.
Build category expertise in the set to become the leader in each retailer
Explore white space opportunities while keeping retailers engaged by providing factual
category data as well as analysis.
Provide Category value by managing and analysis each retailer dashboard to assess proper velocities
Manage Trade Spend and financial for each account to ensure proper spending and distribution is being achieved
Explore and build off shelf opportunities to create consumer engagement
What you will need to succeed:
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Able to relate cross-functionally in a fast-paced business environment (control without authority)
Entrepreneurial mindset- we are building this plane as we fly it Demonstrated ability in multitasking and prioritizing workload
Ability to manage and measure workload for self and keep senior management abreast of all issues/developments.
Strong communication ethic in getting back to customers, suppliers, and internal company personnel.
Support the company’s executive leadership with needed information regarding the state of the business to facilitate decision making.
Experience with business process development and continuous improvement in the managing of day to day business
3-5 years of experience in category management with CPG / Specifically with Large National Key Accounts in Grocery and Mass.
Preferably Bi-Lingual (French -English)
Strong Knowledge in Data capture, POG and Convenience Retail landscape
Familiarity with Category Data software and reporting : Neilsen , Spins , IRI
Strong skills with head office presentations and clear understanding of the Canadian Grocery and mass channel.
Must have strong Excel / Word /PPT / POG management tools / Retail POG software support
Independent thinker and worker with minimal supervision
Experience with category assessment and management specifically in National Key Grocery and mass accounts.
Understands POG/MOD timing and its implementations as well as its requirements
Financial understanding in building account P&L to ensure proper account management
Forecasting and demand planning experience in managing inventory as well as seasonality.
Has built industry knowledge and experience in such accounts as Loblaws, Wal-Mart, Sobey’s, and Metro etc.
Works well in a fast paced growing category and can meet deadlines on time.
